    I use a Bobro on a Vortex 1-8. I normally use Badger Ordnance on everything else and have a Seekonk torque wrench. I decided to try a JP mount and installed one yesterday. I’ve only fired enough to get a good zero but so far, I like it.

    Any time I need to load longer than 2.80, I use KAC magazines. I bought a single ASC but could not get even close to the advertised OAL.

    However, I also have two 6 Creedmoor uppers. This one a 22” JP barrel and matches velocity with exactly one less grain of H4350 than the 243. The other one is a 20” Bartlein from Craddock.

    I bought a KAC PCC this summer and had a local gun shop order an LMT MARS-H lower directly from LMT. It also fit my Mega Maten but was extremely tight at the rear take down pin.

    Is an 8-inch 308 or 12-inch 6.5Cr build possible? Accurate out to 500 yards?

    Just build them and do range reports. I doubt very seriously anyone has built an 8” 308 around here. I have built a 12.5” 308 and I can assure you it’s NOT as soft shooting as a 300 Blackout!!! ?

    This 6.5 is from Keystone Accuracy and has a 17.25 JP Rapid Configuration handguard, SA gas block, JP LMOS with high pressure bolt, H2 Silent Captured Spring, PRS stock, Geissele SSA-E and an Area 419 Hellfire brake. Love me some Mega Maten.

    Lastly, 105 BTHP 40.6 H4350 CCI 200 New, unfired Hornady brass. I’m just shooting steel and using a 1-8 Vortex until I get glass more fitting but I’m pretty pleased for a FREE barrel.

    I worked up the 105 BTHP from 40 grains up to 40.8 grains. It showed slight ejector marks and didn’t gain any velocity over 40.6 grains.
