    Larue bolt action

If you sling a rifle behind your shoulder and are using trekking poles, the damn bolt has a tendency to pop open on my Remington; especially if wearing a ruck. Most annoying. A bolt lock stops that. My sako 75 doesn’t have a three position safety like a Winchester, Ruger or Mauser; but does...

    Meopta warranty kudos

Had a pair of 10x42 meopro HD binos that were 1.5 years old. The ocular lense adjustment was not center zeroed. Probably got out of whack riding in my rucksack. Sent back to get an adjustment calibration. They just shipped me a new pair. Was not expecting that at all. Two thumbs up. ?

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

So far I’m looking at 80.5 grains of H1000 with federal brass, FGMM primer, and Barnes 175 LRX. Initial group was good in my Havak. Same load in my sendero which gets about 3050 FPS. SENDERO Group: Havak - first test group with this load: Obviously it needs more testing in the Havak before I...

    Prescription Bi-focal impact resistant sunglasses

I use rayban wayfarers with prescription sunglasses. The reason they work well is b/c they don’t have curved lenses. Curved lenses (like Oakley uses) don’t do as well prescription-wise according to some sources, but others may disagree. The other thing is I play tennis 10 + hours per week...

I was also slightly irritated by the magazines as well. My gripe is that the mag well that they put in on the long action does not accept the PMAG Magnum – AICS Long Action; where’s the short actions accept the PMAG short action mags. Also, I wish they would with recess the crown and/or give a...

    LMT .308 MWS

2.5-10 or 1-8 is just about the ticket on that weapon. On a 7.62, that will get you to usable ranges no problem without overwhelming portability. Of course I walk with mine and climb up trees; so I guess if you just want to shoot steel or paper, more scope might be fun.

The whole thing is expensive if you think about it. After you dump $1,900 for a rifle and $2,600 for a scope, I think it’s kind of funny to not want a $750 can that you can multitask to many rifles. A good can will serve you on a boatload of setups. I use my omega on my 5.56 SBR and my 7.62 LMT...
