    I’ve read that if you use a 308 or 270 small base die it will just size the head of the cause with out sizing the upper half of the brass. This will allow you to use your regular die to bump shoulder and size the neck.

    Doesn’t brass have memory especially in the base area? Won’t it go back to the larger size after fired? Meaning the clickers will come back?

    That would be a great test. Let us know about the results if you do decide to test. For me I got the best groups with the worse concentricity ammo. About .004 off, go figure, I’m never measuring concentricity again. It only drives me insane.

    Interesting as the primer edges are still round and the primer shows cratering. Are you using fed primers?

    Odd question when you guys dry fire a tikka is the bolt handle suppose to bounce like a rem700 or does the handle drop down? I seen a post and can’t find it about the tikka bolt dropping on dry fire. Why would it drop and not bounce? Or vice Versa?

    Yet another 223 load question...

    I had the same issue with a Tikka T3x loaded .020 off the lands, 77 smk 8208xbr had to back it down to 2600 fps. 2700 fps I was cratering primers using CCI400. I think the load was 23 grains but I can’t remember it’s been a while.
