    Extractor Mark

is there enough neck clearance? Carbon ring? Verify seating depth bullet not in the lands? .004 seems about right for new brass to expand to chamber. Do you have an alpha reamed chamber? Some people have luck with alpha brass in a non alpha chamber but some don’t.

    Terminus Actions

@BenE @CaseFinder @Safety_3rd Per Joel The bounce is perfectly normal. It’s caused by the abrupt stop of the firing pin dry fire collar coming in contact with the dry collar stop inside the bolt. You won’t see it jump when the firing pin strikes a primer because the primer absorbs a...

    Sizing Dies and Barrel Change

Base size between the 2 chambers could be the issue which is causing clickers or the die is not sizing the base enough. measure the brass with clickers the brass without clickers at the .200 line and is there a difference? Compare than to the sized cases from each die, is it being sized at the base?

Barrel brand recommendations for a terminus zeus

Terminus QC. If you ever have to change the barrel just unscrew it and replace it, only an Allen wrench needed vs getting a barrel vice, action wrench and torque wrench if you don’t already have it. Plus you can change calibers (prefit barrels) as long as you have the correct bolt face.

Full length sizing after that stretch!

Dumb question but are you zeroing out the calibers after each measurement? If yes stop you are bumping the shoulder way too much. First firing of virgin or factory brass doesn’t require bumping the shoulder. It takes about 2-3 firings for the brass to grow to max chamber. Size the brass and...

You mean the CBTO is not changing as you screw in the die? Post some pictures of die in the press. And the die and lock ring.

Forster FL sizing die, brass wouldn't go in

Forster FL dies sizes the case almost back down to factory size if not smaller. Measure base & should neck junction before and after sizing. I’m guessing is sized the shoulder body junction down about .005 or so. Check the OAL before and after and note the difference. Could be die is out of...

    Dark necks on annealed cases

I don’t have any technical data but I anneal and have both the faint blue line and dark necks.

    Determining annealing duration

reduce the flame some so the inner blue flame tip is hitting the neck. That should get it hotter quicker.

    Dark necks on annealed cases

That black mark is from the wax reside left on the case after cleaning. If you annealed a clean piece of brass with no wax used on brass the heat will turn the necks darker color and have a faint blue line below the shoulder which means you have over annealed the brass some. Try cleaning the...
