    Completely different animal, different receiver, barrel extension & barrel profile. Wayyy better. They should scrap the 17 all together and do a light weight 16” 20 with a different stock. IMO.

    I’ve only used analog Nv clip ons. I don’t really have a desire to set up another rifle or neuter an existing one. Are they that less efficient than a dedicated thermal scope? Was hoping to hop either a rh25 or the rattler v2 640 clip on between a mk12 and a m4a1

    Scope Upgrade - Sub $1500

    For hunting and range use the leupold is great with low light. Fov not the best but a great option for both id suggest the 3.6-18 mk5hd. Enough travel to lob those 308s in at 1000 and good low light capabilities for hunting.

    How would the rattler v2 clip on compare to a rh25 as a clip on? Specs seem similar enough, in this role would the rattler be more user friendly
