    hard to start a time on 'GO!' when you are standing port arms with a rifle and bag in one hand and then trying to start the timer on the wrist of your other hand. The rifle mounted timer allows you to hold your rifle safely and still start very close to the time you start the stage.

    I have a RRS with the Anvil head and I let a buddy borrow it for his BTX and he had no issues with it holding. I am not sure if he used the built in ARCA or the RRS adapter.

    I agree with tenebraex, was not sure if they made them for the vortex so I didnt want to comment but its a toss up between tenebraex and Aadland on far as quality and features.

    @RC556 I would spend a little more and get some nice Aadland covers. They will be much higher quality than the Butler Creek covers and will not break or slip off compared to the Vortex Defender or Butler Creek.

    a more fair comparison would be the Leupold Mark 4 spotter. I would for sure get a Leupy for 500 and in. I have a 65mm STR with 25-50 wide angle. It is super nice but it is also A LOT of magnification. At 500 you will be better to use the Leupy or just get a nice set of binos and you will have...

    I don’t know, just saw it posted earlier in this thread so saved it to my phone and told them it was sent to me by someone at another Cabela’s location.
