    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

Thanks. We have experimented a bit over the years and thinking of improvements for the next gen. An extreme version, two of these we made for husband & wife Luxembourg target shooters. Think it was used in France ELR. edi

One reason for the crack in that stock could be loose bedding which in turn uses the rear action screw to split the stock also because the action screw hole might be too small in diameter. Another reason is because these stocks do not have a single fibre going from left to right. Repairing that...

That Sako stock is a totally different stock to the Tikka UPR. UPR is made of glass mainly in two halves. edi

There are umpteen possibilities for a composite stock to have a weak area. I recon the Sako design team will be somewhat embarrassed about this stock failing. Pretty sure they will fix the issue. edi

The only one I had in the workshop was glued together slightly offset which then induces recoil down one side. Apart from that the stock seemed quite well made. edi

What cal? The stock is made of two halves (left and right) which are then glued together. As you said crack is off centre, so going through the composite. edi

    Tikka T1X

All of my Tikka rifles have aics mag system, all CTR inlet mostly with Atlasworx aics/CTR. So we made a floorplate for the T1X that would fit the inlet to avoid the gap you mentioned. edi

I never really noticed a gap between stock and bottom plate when fitting T1 into a T3 stock. Wonder why they would do that? I mostly use CTR stock and use the PSE alu T1X/CTR floorplate. edi

My 300wm Remmy went on a diet, had a proof carbon barrel fitted. Zero and chrono yesterday. I will run her like this for a while until the barrel has a few more shots through. Wind was 10-11 o'clock and rocking the bench so the Landy was stationed close as a wind breaker. edi

Yes we can, as a firearms dealer I can also build my own and have done so in the past. I have a feeling our suppressor are somewhat cheaper than in the US. Not often one comes across a hunter without suppressor in the meantime in Ireland. One does need to provide a reason for using one...

I have had three T3 223's in 1/8" none were close to the accuracy of the two 308 CTR's we have. Even speaking to Hakan Spuhr he seemed a bit disappointed with the T3 223. Now they are not bad just not consistently under 1/2". My recent 223 and I presume they all have a huge jump when using...

Try it as it is first, it might work. I would say the issue is that the magazine is internally a bit longer than the action cut out not that the bullet tip would hit the barrel. The little radius or v notch is the solution as others have said. Bergara have that in some of their actions as...

Be 100% sure the recoil lug is engaged. Only 2.5mm and often overseen. When the mag is filled there is less rattle. If still rattling insert a flat screwdriver into magazine catch square opening, screw driver pointing upwards. Pry out the the catch a small bit at a time until the magazine fits...

AICS mags can be made very smooth by rounding the edge of the feed lips with 600-1000 grit wet paper (less scratches on the cases as well). Last shot can be made smoother by flattening the plastic feed ramp a bit. The part where the cartridge shoulder bumps against. A little bit of resistance...
