Looking for a backyard range shooter
I just set up a bergara wilderness hmr in 6.5 creedmoor. It has what they call a #6 profile barrel, seekins rings and a meopta optika 6 5x30x56. I wanted something to just go shooting with and not be worried about it. It shoots 1/2 moa with match factory loads and so far its been fun to shoot...- dpw4x4

Bergara HMR Wilderness vs HMR Pro...
I have both of these except one is 6.5 the wilderness and my pro is 308. And I can say the pro is a nicer gun. As far as fit feel, the bolt is slick and smooth. And the trigger is really nice too.The only thing I would like to do is put the wilderness bolt handle on the pro I like it better. But...- dpw4x4

Questions on Bergara HMR B14 bolt
The bolt tear down I have not done there has been no reason to do it so far. The bolts in the wilderness model are different than the regular ones it's fluted and works like it's on bearings just plain smooth. When I get home later I will look and see how easy it comes apart. For 1090.00 dollar's you can get the HMR wilderness model that is ceracoted and has all the bolt problems fixed. And shoots great. I've read reviews of bergara hmr's most were good and some not so good on early models but all those things have been delt with. And the fit and finish is really...- dpw4x4
