You can zero with either if the WM LRF has that much adjustment. But if you zero the LRF with your scope dialed to 1200 yards, every time you range you will need to have your scope dialed to 1200 yards.
If you zero the LRF at 1200 yards with your scope dialed to your zero, you need to range...
223 with 77 TMK. Least amount of recoil. Usually gets a guy to 400-450 yards depending on barrel length, elevation, etc. Keep the impact velocity around 1800ish fps or faster and you are good to go.
I had the same type of issue using an XLR chassis and their NV bridge.
I got a custom rail from Ken. That was the easy button.

I’ve only shot a little over 400 on coyotes with it. I know someone above said no chance from 8-10. But I’ve had good luck with 10x at 400-430 yards. Using holdovers.
I have one. 26” Bart. Shooting the 180 ELD with Norma brass and RL 26. It’s right @3000 fps in the summer and @3030 fps when it gets cold. COAL I want to say is about 2.92ish. Going off memory there.
I believe Horta mentioned in a post the Leupold had the worst picture out of a bunch of different scopes with the clip ons. I could be off on who posted that though.
