    Nor Cal earthquake

We live about 170 miles to the north. My phone went crazy with alerts to take cover. Never felt a thing but seems if stuff was shaking we would be doing that, not waiting for some kind of emergency notice telling us what to do. Shortly after, we were getting tsunami warnings. We are far...

    Daily Distraction

We went out at Charleston, OR. Live about 30 miles from there. Got lucky with the weather and wave height. Middle son who lives in Washington was down for Thanksgiving, and Friday was a free fishing day.

    Daily Distraction

Up early on Black Friday to fish with two of my sons. 3 limits of rockfish in about 2 1/2 hours and we released about as many as we kept. Great day.

How do you make Thanksgiving Stuffing?

Kind of hard to stuff a turkey when it has been spatchcocked. Dry brine for 3 days and then on the smoker. Wife has always done the dressing (not stuffing) on the side, not in the turkey.

Not the coastal cities (as conservative here as when I was in Idaho), it is the Willamette Valley that is blue and poisons the rest of the state.

Son bought a Tisas with a threaded barrel and suppressor sights and then a compact Prodigy to carry, both in 9mm. Says the Tisas shoots really well and he had had no issues with either of them. Oldest grandson, who is 10, really likes shooting the Tisas.

    Parker Hale M82 Clone

Are you looking for one that is not in great condition? I have a couple with surface rust outside but the bores are clean. No clue how much they were shot, if ever.

    Idaho chem trails, WTF?

Back 15 years ago or so, living in Pocatello, the meteorologist on a local tv station came out talking about chem trails. He was very adamant about them and I as recall, it lead to him quitting or getting fired from his job. Do a google search for Scott Stevens and chem trails for his take on...

    Rabbit chili

When we raised rabbits long ago, we made a white chili using a chicken based recipe. Turned out very good. Would cook the rabbit first, then shred and add into the chili.

Out fishing yesterday and this ship was leaving port headed to Japan with a load of wood chips. Looked it up on line, it is 656 feet long, holds 3.6 million cubic feet of chips and will take almost 3 weeks to get to it's destination.

Friend's wife broke her little toe on the leg of a coffee table. Healed up and then she did it again on something else. Doctor told her it was going to be messed up and not heal correctly after the second break. Ended up having it amputated. Hope you have better results.
