    Tikka Ctr and Tikka Varmint compatibility.

    CTR mags are not the same as AICS (accuracy international chassis system) therefore won’t fit in CTR bottom metal. Sounds like your McMillan is inletted for the CTR bottom metal so you’ll need ctr 308 mags. 22-250 is a little smaller round than 308 so I’m not sure about feeding. This thread...

    Along with opening up the barrel channel you will need CTR bottom metal. All tikka tikka t3 actions are the same ( long action) just different bolt stops.

    What other then a hot load would cause this?

    Was going to insert a “hot load” joke but I’ll refrain. But my guess would be a loose primer pocket and over pressure. Do you reload? More details are needed.
