I loaded up some 167 Cayugas with N565 starting at 68gr to 69.2 gr in 0.3gr increments. I set the COAL at 3.300". Wouldn't you know it that my CED chrony crapped out. The DA when I was shooting was close to zero. 12.2C @29.92Hg @156 MSL. My Proof barrel is a true 1:8, as I measured and confirmed it as soon as I got it.- deputyrpa

Sure they will, but when I ordered the 151s were not available, so I got the 170s to try out. The G7 is quite remarkable and irresistable, if accurate. Oh well. I can jack up the velocity by maybe 50fps before I hit pressure, but I don't think it'll make a much of a difference. The center of gravity and the center of pressure must be really far apart in the 170. On the other hand, the target appears to reveal that the first two lighest loads (#s 1 & 2)...- deputyrpa

has anyone run the 170s in a 7PRC? I just did a ladder test on them with N565, Peterson brass and Fed 215s out of my 22" 1:8 Proof barrel starting at 2771fps up to 2883fps ( I had no load data so I started and ended a bit light), and got keyholing at 100yds.
