    Helping a Newbie, Seating Question

I hate to piggy back on a thread but figured since we are talking about this, I’d throw my process out there for you guys to pick through, and maybe OP and I both learn something.. I do not use many tools and really wonder if there’s any significant danger to what I am doing. I really just...

    Too much jump/pressure 300 WSM

I’m not a reloading expert and only load for accuracy don’t give (2) shits about speed. I load to the length my rifle likes and then learn dope of the load by shooting. I do use a book/net for charge parameter.. I’ve been recently questioned on a rifle of mine. Logic vs what the rifle is telling...

    Good electronic dispenser under $400?

I’m pretty happy with the hornady lock n load.. I hated it at first and it took me a while to figure out how to set it to start tricking sooner and it about defaults to factory settings once powered down but after figuring it out, Im pretty happy. By the time I seat bullet, next charge is ready…...

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

Since I’m triggering great ideas, I could really use a LA chassis..😁. The height and interference of low scope was what got my wheels turning.. then it was a matter of “well if I’m cutting”, I may as well trim some more fat and shed all I can while being creative.

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

I only hunt my rifles so felt if I left just long enough to mount the occasional bipod I was good.. I also had fear with cutting the top off, it would lose some rigidity so if I left full length and mounted bipod on end it could possibly flex… I don’t think it would have though.. still pretty...

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

I’ll post better pics later.. the rifle on the left is an older .325 WSM that was built when Christensen was using Rem 700 actions.. to keep from butchering both handguards, I made that one with what I cut off the first one.. wanted to do that to see how I liked them prior to cutting the other...

What does 6.5 do over 7.62?

If we are going with tumbling tissue damage, why are we not talking about Brit 303.😂.. i personally love them both 6.5 and .308 just depends on what I’m doing..I have loved the 6.5’s since the .260 came out.. shootability comes into large play with old ass people as well as small people.. I was...

Rifle shoots 24 inch group at 500 yards

I’ve not read everything but feel I tried helping with the bullet stability aspect and weight bullet.. but more direct in answering your “have you had success” in load development question… YES there are many variables that could go wrong in putting a rifle together. I do find it odd that you...

Rifle shoots 24 inch group at 500 yards

My .280 AI with 1:9.25 would not stabilize anything over 140… got nasty quickly after moving from 140 to 150… based off everything I read, it did not make sense but shot clover leafs at 110 meters with nosler 140’s and opened up to 1.5-2” with 150’s.. played with charge and seating depths but it...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

This one was an MPA hybrid hunter in 6.5 Traded the original chassis here on the hide for the Mesa on above post with the .308.. put it in a Christensen MPR chassis.. hated the handgaurd so ran it through the table saw and miter saw.. like how it turned out and is a pretty practical hunting rig.

Firearm Finishes....What is your preference and why?

10-4.. I hunt all of my rifles pretty hard.. and all has held up.. I typically use Nason in rattle van for primer (found in most Napa stores) and believe it or not, the krylon clear works wonders.. I’ll post a couple pics of some of the rattle cans. Primer paint clear webbing etc The sample...
