    Just be sure to work with a dealer that really knows how to fill out the paperwork. If you do it'll go more smoothly with the examiner and you'll get your can more quickly. And don't hold your breath too long or you'll turn blue!

    Thanks for the responses. I have several options and I just need to pick one. Bottom line is that my Omega will be able to suppress the 223 like I want it to.

    I thought about just having the 223 threaded to 5/8-24. It just seems that 1/2-28 is more of the "standard" thread pattern for 22 Cal rifles. I'm probably guilty of over thinking this.

    Hard case for air travel

    Pelican. And it goes without saying that you're not just protecting the expensive rifle but also the expensive hunting trip or match you're taking it to. The custom cutting of the foam on the pelican is kind of a pita but insures the rifle won't shift and contact the walls of the case.
