Rifle Scopes advice on scope for my new GAP gladius.

To answer your original question, no you should not save the $1000 and yes buy the NXS 5-22x50. The 5-22x50 is a fantastic high quality bullet proof F2 optic.

Hunting & Fishing Best all round 260 BULLET

I have used all the Bergers listed above and the 143 ELD-X's on everything from pigs, deer and cow elk. All the above listed bullets have worked flawlessly. For your hunting back east and shots to say 400, I'd opt for the lighter/faster Berger 130's. My wife has taken numerous deer and...

Hunting & Fishing Eld-M or BTHP on pigs???

I have shot quite a few pigs behind the shoulder and in the head with a 6.5 Grendel with 123gr ELD-M. All head shots have dropped dead. Behind shoulder shots have run a little but all dead.

Rifle Scopes G3 or H59 reticle?

Touph call here if wanting to use scope for duel purposes. All my hunting scopes have MOAR or Mil C reticles. Last summer I had a TReMoR3 ATACR breaking in my new hunting 6 creedmoor. I had a NM antelope tag and did not want to spend the time switching scopes and re zeroing so I took the...

Rifle Scopes About to bite the bullet on a S&B PM II 5x25 DT

When looking at a Horus reticle, I often tell people to not pay attention to the reticle below 3 mil and above the center line. Reason I say this, holding the reticle becomes touph unless shooting large generous targets. 3 mil is 600 yards with my 6 creedmoor. I never hold more than 3 mils and...

Which cartridge for 6mm gas gun for PRS style matches?

As you I kicked a AR-10 gasser around for a couple of years. Never was impressed with them until the 6.5 and 6 creedmoors. I ended up choosing a JP LPR-07 in 6 creed because thats what my bolt gun is chambered in. I have no details on performance for I only have 5 rounds through the rifle...

    Beginner help

Out of calibers you listed, 6.5x284. The others you listed are too much gun for deer and antelope in my opinion. I run a 6.5x284 at 3013 ft/sec with 140 Bergers. The 6.5x284 is a whole lot more pleasant to shoot and I feel you will be more accurate with the lighter recoiling 6.5x284.

Rifle Scopes Lightweight scopes for hunting? Any FFP?

I'm running NF ATACR 4-16x42 on several of my hunting rifles. Though the scope isn't a "lite weight" the scope has a low profile, flawless turets, and great glass. In SFP i run NF 3.5-15x50's

Rifle Scopes About to bite the bullet on a S&B PM II 5x25 DT

My first top tier scope was a S&B PM II 5-25x56 I bought off a friend. Ive had the scope heck probably 10 years and I don't know how long my friend used it. Scope still performs flawlessly. I'm considering sending it in to update turets to mil and a T3 reticle which I'm running on a couple NF...

Rifle Scopes change to mil from moa ?

For me its about the environment I'm around. I run MOA scopes around hunting friends except for my 6 creedmore hunting rifle. Around matches I run a mil scope just because thats what language most people are speaking. As far as putting rounds down range, it don't make a difference what system...

9mm vs. 300 bo subs; over penetration in home defence?

I been going back and forth on this topic for seems like 2 years and have just about decided to go with a 9mm SIG pistol.

    Rifle Scopes Scope for b14

I have experience with NF ATACR F1 and S&B PMII Both have excellent glass, crisp turret feel, and are reliable and repeatable. If you are serious about shooting, I would not buy less, even if it takes a little more time to buy. I would pick the reticle of choice and go with either one of the...

AR10 Platform - Larue OBR or JP LRP-07

I took delivery of 2 Larue's some years ago. After inspection, i decided the Larue would be a nice rifle once barrel, stock, trigger, and muzzle break were swapped for higher quality. I wasn't too into the feel of the hand guard either. I made the decision to put them back in the box, sell...

Rifle Scopes First "Professional" Optic, Need Expert Advice

I can't speak for others but yes for me price does keep me from buying the Mark 8. I own both S&B and NF. Like said above, the NF may not be 1st in any category , but i really like them and keep buying them over S&B. With that said, S&B price has been reduced and much more competitive. That...

Rifle Scopes First "Professional" Optic, Need Expert Advice

Illumination not necessary in my opinion. As far as what reticle, T3 or H59, dont get caught up in the entire reticle. It is unlikely you will ever use the reticle for holding shots past 3 mils on a generous sized target. Thats 600 yards with my 6 creedmoor.

Rifle Scopes First "Professional" Optic, Need Expert Advice

B or D as you have them listed. I have never owned a USO but with either the H59 or T3 reticle, I would not be afraid of trying one. As far as A goes, what does a Mark 8 with a T3 reticle sell for? Near $4700? Not for me. Ill take the $3300 NF ATACR

    Rangefinder Binos, which ones?

Owner of gun store that I buy from told me $2400 was going to be the price if he ordered early. IDK if there was a minimum number he had to pre order to get that price. I was told the price will be $3000 after release.
