    Expected Accuracy at 100 Yards?

Re: Expected Accuracy at 100 Yards? A couple things come to mind. How many shots on the barrel? Scope? How many kinds of ammo have you tried? My experience may be close to yours. Last year I purchased a Savage 93FVSS package with a cheap Bushnell scope (outsourced and going for $90 on...

Rifle Scopes Is the Hawk Sidewinder 30 Tactical My Best Option

Re: Is the Hawk Sidewinder 30 Tactical My Best Option Okay, you'll get a lot of feedback telling you that spending less than $1500 is pointless. I disagree. I've two Hawkes. One is an Airmax 3-9 on a magnum spring powered airgun which are notoriously hard on scopes because of the two way...

    Shooting gloves

Re: Shooting gloves I'm also a fan of the Mechanix gloves. The reason I like the gloves I posted is because of the warmth. Was out shooting yesterday in -15c weather...bare hands or non insulated Mechanix gloves are not an option.

    Manfrotto 190xproB question

Re: Manfrotto 190xproB question Remember, this is a photographic tripod. The maximum weight they list is the most the tripod can hold for an extended time exposure (more than 1 second) and give a razor sharp image. Not a concern with shooting applications.

    Watches?

Re: Watches? Just to clear something up said earlier. The 5.11 most definitely DOES NOT have to be sent to the factory for a battery change...anyone can do it. It does however need to be sent to the factory if you want the watch to be sealed to it's full watertight specs...this however is...

    Rifle Scopes sightron reviews?

Re: sightron reviews? Ohhh, I'll bet you take some heat for that one NaHa. But I agree with you. Simply typing 'sightron scope reviews' into google brings up 200,000 hits. What amazes me is that people are computer savvy enough to find a place like the Hide...log on and register...yet can't...

    Watches?

Re: Watches? I treated myself this Christmas to the 5.11 Field Ops watch http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Accessories/Watches/Field-Ops-Watch-New-Design.html Doesn't have all the features you're looking for (I also have a Kestrel)...but the ballistics calculator works like a charm.

What to use on rear of gun with front bipod

Re: What to use on rear of gun with front bipod Tab Gear rear bag. And to comment one of the above posts...I too tried for a year to shoot without a rear bag, figuring it was one less thing to carry. Not displeased with my groups...but always thought I could do better. Then in conversation...

    New Winchester Rimfire Cartridge

Re: New Winchester Rimfire Cartridge I think this won't go far...though I have been wrong once or twice in my 55 years. (I remember predicting that the CD would never replace vinyl ;-) It is 30% more powerful than my ,22WinMag. But it follows that it will be 30% louder and carry that much...

    SWFA - Constructive Criticism

Re: SWFA - Constructive Criticism On the one hand I feel your pain. But they are a small company. What I want to know is why, when I debit money from my bank (a far larger, national company) it come out of my account immediatley...but when I deposit money they claim 48 hours before it is...

    Hard time finding ammo....

Re: Hard time finding ammo.... I agree with Goldngun...20 elementary age kids is going to polarize a lot of people in demanding change...public and politicians alike. Best case scenario is background checks...and really, anyone who disagrees with that is...well, leave it at that. Worst...

Rifle Scopes Chinese and like scopes

Re: Chinese and like scopes raythemanroe...you do realize the guts of the (probably not inexpensive) computer you are typing this on are made in (horrors) China, don't you? My point being: a lot of quality companies have moved their production to China yet kept their quality control. Look...

Rifle Scopes Heads-Up: Fake Leupold's from China

Re: Heads-Up: Fake Leupold's from China I can only say this...I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust that I paid $800 for back in 1975. It's been regularily serviced to about the tune of $300 every 5 years and is $6000 new these days. My $100 Casio keeps way better time ;-) , and guess...
