    I use small mesh laundry bags with draw string. Shove 'em in, give it a shake and any dirt, etc comes out and there's no mess when emptying or leaving in your car/truck.

    While the finish might be affected, a QPQ (nitriding process) will harden the actual metal surface to a depth of about .01" or so. The DLC is a surface coating. I'm not saying one is better than the other.

    Seems odd that factory Hornady Match wouldn't fit into the mag. Have you cleaned out the chamber and/or had a look with a scope? Maybe something caught in chamber that is creating difficult chambering and even worse extraction.
