1. You can buy a short rail for the Origin from Zermatt. 2. You can trim the longer Origin rail you have. That's what I did and it works fine. Used a belt sander and some black spray paint to cover the bare metal. You can't really see the end anyway. Either way ... easy fix.- MPrimo

Scrap the Colt 1911 line and build more Dan Wessons! I know the reverse is more likely and the overall quality will be less but I can hope.
