    Definitely aluminum magnification ring and turrets. I am not sure if there is something on the tube or not but what you describe should help with secure scope mounting.

    Outstanding. Can you get a piece of paper between the scope and barrel? Excellent accuracy, you should be thrilled! Did you look at Nikon's PROSTAFF 3-9x40 Target EFR scope? Parallax adjustment for your 25 yard shooting range.

    That is sweet! Crazy accuracy too! Whacked any coyote's with it. I was pig hunting 2 weeks ago when it quickly escalated into a coyote hunt, big fun. Those 143gr ELD-X bullet's do the job on a coyote/pig.

    ah, the under 21 rule. I get it. That is the only place I had heard about that is near Lincoln. Nest time you get to the range I hope you can take some pic's and post them of your BLACK X1000 ? I have 3 and love em. Whacked a hog last weekend in OK at just over 600 yards with my 6.5 cm.

    Nikon's BLACK FX1000 is available but selling quickly. The 4-16 non-illuminated is $650 and goes to $800 for 6-24 illuminated. Pretty darn good price.
