    Both! Seriously your talking about the top two manufacturers IMO. I have a LRP, SCR, and. Predatar. I think each one is epically awesome and the pinacle of the ar platform. ETA: I have had nothing but caring, helpful, and spot on service with both companies.

    Jp makes the qd adapater for the rail. Its a fine piece. I wouldnt worry about tension, the jp freefloat tube is a rock. Your not going to twist or pull it.

    If they ever come back in stock, an armalite national match pivot pin usually works as well. They havent been in stock for a while though. Should have bought ten of em with my last order.

    For a 1000 I would look at some optics like the leupold mk 4 line. Quality scopes, built like a Tank. A little dated in technology, but a solid start. Also keep an eye on the px here for some great deals on quality used glass. I have seen some leupold mk4s 6.5-20s , and 8-32s for under a grand.

    Honestly---your spending 4 grand for a rifle--get it the highest quality glass you can afford. I believe the nightforces are superb glass for the cash. The vortex vipers are excellent--with amazing customer service.

    The rifle is still not available in 6.8 from bushy, and there are no congitmed plans fot any other calibers either. Acrforum. Has guys who with the help of marvin pitts havr made 6.8 and 300blk conversions using regular ar barrels. Its to bad, the qc on the rifles has gone up, and the platform...

    Palmetto State Armory , anybody shooting one?

    I have a complete psa middy I built for my sonw, and a stainless middy upper for my bride. Both are fantastic quality and shoot fantastically. Affitional info. PSA uses FN barrel blanks for their CL barrela and wilson for thoer stainless. They use the right components for a quality rifle.
