    280 Brass without nickle plate

Re: 280 Brass without nickle plate Was it Winchester or Federal brand or Remington brand? I have found Remington usually does not plate their 280 brass but Winchester and Federal do. You can still fire form them. I have for my 280AI and they are fine. Or send them back and get regular brass.

Question for people who reload Federal .308 brass

Re: Question for people who reload Federal .308 brass I use quite a bit of federal FGMM brass and the first thing to get "loose" is the primer pockets.I usually throw them out after 5 reloads, that means they have been fired 6 times.

    Lee or RCBS primer tool

Re: Lee or RCBS primer tool I have both styles of the RCBS, one with shell holder and one universal, they both work fine, never owned a Lee. I use one with small primers and the other with large primers. I would have to say RCBS because of my experience with them over the years.

Range Report .45/70 fast load low, slow load high

Re: .45/70 fast load low, slow load high The slower round is staying in the barrel just a bit longer, thus exits the barrel at a slightly higher angle. Just a millimeter difference in barrel angle has a lot of change at 100 yards. I have experienced this same thing over the years.

WTF is up with Federal 45ACP Brass!!!

Re: WTF is up with Federal 45ACP Brass!!! First rule of thumb in reloading, never assume anything, even if the so called "expert reloading books" say so. I bet the books don't talk about small primer Lapua or Palma brass for rifles either. They are only a guideline.

Rifle Scopes Why not fixed magnification for LR guns?

Re: Why not fixed magnification for LR guns? I think the consensus has it, fixed is fine but why would you limit yourself when there are so many good options out there for large range variables? I have a Bushnell 1.25-8x with a German #4 and I can easily hit with it out to 600 yards on a 12"...
