Re: We're not going to make it Raise your hand to a child it Tx and the least you can expect is a very long painful probing from CPS. You can most likely bet some local LE depts will cite must arrest ( been witness to a couple honest to goodness real cops on the job in a similar situation...

HV vs. subsonic for 100-200 yds.

Re: HV vs. subsonic for 100-200 yds. I'm running an older Mossberg 144LSB with 27 inch barrel. At 50 yards it runs Wolf ME into single holes. At 100 yards the Wolf will stay on a 14X14 paper but that's it. Contradictory to conventional wisdom, the rifle shoots 36 grain Remington HV stuff...

Savage Model 12 LRPV in .223

Re: Savage Model 12 LRPV in .223 Mine is the 1:7 twist and loves 77 and 80 grain sierras with 25 grains varget. Previous owner was disgusted trying to get it to shoot light bullets, so I got it at a bargain price.

Iam no gunsmith, but does this sound right to you?

Re: Iam no gunsmith, but does this sound right to you? Adjust the sights. They're made to be adjusted and are not factory zeroed for YOUR particular stance, sight alignment or grip. The factory was thinking of you when those features were incorporated into the design.

Ft Wolters Mid Range Match - TOMORROW

Re: Ft Wolters Mid Range Match - TOMORROW Strickland showed up for the match, borrowed a rifle, borrowed ammunition, and proceeded to kick everyone's butt by a huge X count margin. The rest of us just had a blast not shouldering the pressure of 1st place! Next one is May 30. Come join us...

    More precise priming?

Re: More precise priming? You're over complicating an amazingly simple process. Pick a tool, seat the primer in a clean primer pocket, finish loading, get off the internet and just go shoot.

    Rifle Scopes VORTEX VIPER

Re: VORTEX VIPER Have one with the mil reticle. Great unit and does not need the qualifier "for the money". Well built, plenty of travel, 1000 yard capable on a 223 rifle, clear and crisp to the edges with easy and accurate adjustments.

    Member Link Up DFW Range

Re: DFW Range Is Haltom still predominately shillouette shooters? Used to be time consuming to join and a bigger pain to get actual range time. It is a very nice range though.

Need more velocity from my SPS-T (308 Winchester)

Re: Need more velocity from my SPS-T (308 Winchester) 2550fps wil do just fine with the 175's at 1000. Use wind constant of 11 for 1000 yards and fudge it just a little for 1000 meters.

    Would you recommend the M1A?

Re: Would you recommend the M1A? Honkey, Give ya $500.00 cash for that pos. I'm doing you a favor because hatred isn't healthy and we're told health care is a real issue in the U.S. I have an M1A variant and it's just plain fun. Good utility rifle but they have their drawbacks. Be...

    Not Temperature Sensitive - RL15 & RL17

Re: Not Temperature Sensitive - RL15 & RL17 Re15 in my would run 2635 at 55 degrees and 2690 at 95 degrees. the shift from +55 downward is pretty steep. The same varget load would move about 1/3 of that and no real difference for temps under 55 down to +30F. IMR 4064 loads I once used had a...

    Not Temperature Sensitive - RL15 & RL17

Re: Not Temperature Sensitive - RL15 & RL17 Spent years with varget, then switched to Re15 for two years as a trial. Went back to varget due to the temp instability exhibited by Re15 and Re19 ( Re17 wasn't out yet). Re15 moves alot, but not as much as IMR4064, although certainly more than...
