So I just got word form my contact at Armasight that Armasights CO-LR GEN 3P is actually manufactured in San Francisco. I didn't really get an answer as to wear the rest of their line is made. Just thought I would share.
Really on the fence about this one.
Yes, the tripod comes with a QD mount you would screw into the female threads of the HOG saddle. Then just click it into the tripod mount. I personally don't like the small thumb screw type adjustment to adjust the head to tilt/cant. I would much rather have something like the Manfrotto...
From my experience and readings they are the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to optics. I wouldn't personally put them in the "high quality" realm. I would much rather spend the money on a Super Sniper scope form SWFA or as already mentioned a Nikon Buckamaster, than one of the scope...
So is that saying the Armasight is inline with ATN as far as product? I would rather pay a few extra grand than buy junk that's going to fail down the road. Granted Armasight has a 2 year warranty on their gear.
I'm not smart enough to answer that question, but that came directly from a company rep of Armasight. May want to ask them but I think it has something to do with having a film-less auto graded ITT photocathode?
I was looking at both the ARMASIGHT CO-LR GEN 3P MG as well as the ARMASIGHT CO-LR Flag MG. They arnt really that far apart on price and I was informed the Flag is actually closer to a Gen 4 NV optic. Wondering if it holds a flame to the PVS-22 NV device. It appears to be a little over 2...
I'm pretty sure that depends on what state you live in, I know in some states if you don't step in then your in violation of state law. I forget what the term is, I am sure someone can come up with it. It's early.
I don't really care to get into another conflict. There is something about being the worlds police force that doesn't sit well with this Marine. I joined to defend our constitution, not others.
And I guess if I wanted to save some $ and have the best of both worlds I could always get a rail for my rifle and add a DLOC-M DLOC-M and pass on the HOG saddle.
I was leaning toward the RC2 for the simple fact that I already use the QD mounts. It would seem though that I would be spending more money for the RC2 and HOG saddle then the DCLW and a few rails.
