    Mate, honestly just live with it and get a slightly slimmer profile/longer barrel next time if you don't wish to add any more weight. Or maybe a tunner/muzzle brake, not much extra weight, but put exactly where it matters most in this case. Cheers Pete

    Gentleman, I believe I read somewhere in the past that the recess machined into the bottom of the forend was to possibly add some sort of grip tape to reduce recoil by greater interference between stock and bag? Anyone doing this, or have any feedback on its worth? Cheers Pete

    Mate, the quickest way to kill a scope or at least a cheap one is to put it on a old style air rifle....... Far harder on scopes than the average small calibre centre fire/rimfire are. cheers Pete
