    I had a swift on my remington 581 S 22 bolt gun. The 270 win I used for deer had a bushnell 3-9 on it. Both rifles are stupid accurate. Still have them, but the optics are different now.

    The 100 grain ballistic tip and the 100 grain eld m are both lights out with 30.2 grains of 8208. The 95 grain vmax loves 31 grains. I prefer them to the heavies. They shoot flatter within my typical distance for this rifle.

    Is there a significant advantage to the area 419 sidewinder vs the hellfire on a 300 mag? I have a suppressor adapter for the hellfire, and wouldn't mind sticking with it on the .300 mag if performance of the smaller 3 port brake is adequate.

    30 cal bullets, lighter or heavier?

    Love the 155 scenar driven hard by 8208 under 800 yards in my 22 inch 308, but for longer range, I load the 185 berger juggernaut with RL17. It is outstanding.

    I load 44.2 grains 8208 in lapua brass lit by a federal 210m to achieve those velocities. It is a custom bolt gun with a 22 inch bartlein barrel, so results may vary.

    What bullet weight are you planning? 168 and lower? XBR 8208 all day long. I push 155 scenars out of a 22 inch bartlein at 2920.

    Gunsmithing Fully Bedded Action vs Only Pillars

    Full bedding will never hurt, but often help, even if just minimally. I fully bed all of my rifles. Took the time to learn to do it myself and enjoy it. Vs pillar bedding alone, you probably wont gain more than 1/4 moa, if that. Thats approx what my last bedding job gained

    I run 44.2 grains 8208 lit by a fed 210m in lapua brass. This pushes a 155 scenar a tick over 2900 FPS out of a 22 inch bartlein 11 twist barrel.

    8208 for 155's or lower. varget for 155 to 185. RL17 for 185 and up are my favorites for .308

    Leupold MK4 LR T 3.5-10 still good?

    The MK4 with m5 turrets are solid scopes. I have a 6.5-20 on my 6.5 creed as a placeholder until I can snag a MK5 or Kahles to replace it. I've taken it out past 1200 repeatably.
