    I'm assuming this is the FCP-HS Precision platform with the 24" barrel. I had some initial "good" results with IMR 7828SSC but they were not consistent with outings. And now I can see H1000 coming back in stock, at least 1lb'ers that is. I went out once with 70 some rounds and the groups...

    One more month and I should have all my Federal brass here. Looking to build 208 AMAX & 190 SMK loads with IMR 7828SSC. With the "un" availability of H1000 I'm leaning towards this to be "the" powder for me. Savage 24inch HS-Precision platform.

    Anyone go ahead and get some newish loads for the 7828/208 AMAX combo? I'm about ready to jump on 16+ lbs. I have my brass/projectiles/primers ready...just need some feed...gonna do a mix of 208s and 190SMK.

    Same boat here. Tons of 7828 available. Building loads for 208amax in savage 110 hs with 24inch barrel. I see lots of history with h1000 but not so much with 7828. But the little I do see is positive. Time to buck the trend?
