    GAP-10 and a NF 2.5-10x42. . .which ring height?

    I've found that anything in the neighborhood of 1.4-1.5" is ideal for an Ar. Personally, I use the ADM Recon one piece mount on my AR15s and 308ARs. Easy to remove and easy to adjust forward or back for coarse eye relief. Larue is also another one, but there are quite a few others available.

    I don't know, have you ever tried to get loctite off the inside of the receiver? It can be done, but it takes some work.

    Last week I was able to get 1 8 lb'er of Varget and a friend got one in IMR3031. Here he was bitchin' about having to pay $170, whereas I was happy at paying $180 just to get it. I've also been able to get some IMR4064, RL15, RL17, RL19 and H4350. So yeah, I think it's slowly coming back.

    Advice on cleaning brass.

    I've considered trying the ss method of cleaning, but too many steps involved. Tumbling in dry media gets my brass clean enough to reload for me. Besides, once you fire the brass, it's dirty again. Just me I guess.

    BHW barrel.

    Exactly what was out of spec with your receiver? I agree that BHW customer service is great. But I had an issue with noncentric chambers which couldn't satisfy me or my gunsmith so I moved on after three attempts and inspecting a couple off the shelf.
