    Leveling a scope

    Arisaka Leveling tool or Feeler Gagues. The plumb line method is maddening. Think those 2 lines drawn on the tube, somewhere in China, by the lowest bidder are precise? Guarantee a deck of cards is more accurate than lining up multiple bubble levels against a string.

    Off of a bench, I prefer a rest. Bags settle...and keep settling. Always changing my rear bag height. I feel like bipods "hop" off the hard table. This is a Caldwell Rock BR with upgraded pads.

    I have 3 total. 2 Cronus BTR's and 1 BTR Gen2. I have not compared side by side with any high end glass lately, but I thought it was just as good, if not better than a Vortex AMG. Sold the AMG and bought another Cronus plus about $1k leftover. Best value, high performance scope in my opinion...

    Leveling scopes…tools?

    Arisaka Tool....if that doesn't work, Feeler Gauges. Even a deck of cards works if Feeler Gauges not handy. The hanging plumb line with multiple bubble levels will drive anyone insane and leave you questioning if you have it right!

    My 20" JP is very accurate, but only with certain ammo. Hornady Black 75gr, Defender 69gr SMK, and a custom load from Copper Creek using 77gr Berger's.

    I have 2 Cronus BTR's.....and 1 BTR Gen2 = 3 total. The Gen 2 was a steal on Expert Voice for $999. Best bang for the buck in optics IMHO.

    I went with a Geissele buffer spring (Super Braided 42) rifle length and a H2 rifle length buffer.

    Scope leveling

    Feeler gauges or the Arisaka Leveling Tool and be done with it. Takes minutes instead of dicking with a plumb line, vice and bubble levels and still wondering if you got it right.

    What are you comparing it against. I put my Cronus BTR Gen 1 against a Vortex AMG and they were very close......so much so, that I sold the AMG and bought a 2nd Cronus.

    Then "Made in China" technically makes no difference either....so get the highest end model made there, save your money, and be confident in your equipment........yeah sure, let us know how that works out for you.
