    Hypothetical Boog and Partner

Mines also a DVM who works as an ER veterinarian so her medical knowledge while not specifically for humans is still way ahead of mine. That alone assures me she would be an asset.

    Prepare now

Look I get this is all rumor but in my opinion the writing is on the wall that this could happen (not that it is or will be happening) just that its a possibility. I'm not saying it needs to, just that it might.

    Prepare now

i also received the what now seems to be fake message about it coming in the next 72 hours. This prompted a text to a high school friend at a 3 letter agency who said its definitely possible but there is no time line as they want to wait untill the last possible second to make the final call. I...

    Schools Out for Summer -

My professors where very upfront about this and told use they would now be grading with the assumption that we were sitting there with our books open and the answers in front of us. Law school grades are alittle different though so this may not be the case for her.

    Schools Out for Summer -

I got the email from the law school (Villanova) this morning that we are going all online. It was pandamonium when the email went out, I'm just sitting back and enjoying the show.

Should we be concerned about the panic?

Realized we were down to 2 rolls of TP today. Three stores later I found some at home deput. Thankfully people in the city wouldn't know what a hammer was if it fell and hit them on the head so they didn't think to look there.

Should we be concerned about the panic?

Couldn't agree more, its advice I think anyone who travels outside of walking distance from their home should follow regardless of what is going on in the world.

Should we be concerned about the panic?

Aside from the gas thing this is pretty much how I run 24/7, I surf the east coast from hurricane season straight on through till spring so I am often traveling in dicey weather (think hurricanes and nor'easters). I travel with the mindset that if it came to it I could live in my car for a few...

Should we be concerned about the panic?

Just to reiterate I’m not at all concerned about the actual virus at this point I’m young and healthy. My wife is also in the medical field albeit the animal kind (veterinarian) and she has been raving for the last week about how overblown this is since they had a theft of a large portion of...

Should we be concerned about the panic?

That's a great take on this and spells out the kind of balance I usually try to strike with things like prepping (whether it be ammo, food, water, etc).

Should we be concerned about the panic?

I definitely fall into the wait and see camp especially about the virus but the situation in New Rochelle made me think that things could spiral quicker then I originally thought. I also could not agree more with keeping what you have to yourself.

Should we be concerned about the panic?

Thankfully I grew up in a place where bathing your children in disinfectant hasn't really caught on so I still have a functioning immune system.

Should we be concerned about the panic?

About 2 hours (100 miles) away, since I've moved here for school I have kept enough gas in the tank to get me there if I needed to since its much more rural. I was curious for my situation but also more broadly what other like minds though about what this sort of fear mongering could trigger.

Should we be concerned about the panic?

I'm a 25 year old grad student at a rather liberal university (big shocker) in a large metropolitan area. Lunch room discussion was unsurprisingly centered around the virus. Most of the people at the table like me fealt that the whole thing is being way overblown and washing our hands pretty...

Any color blind folks on the board?

I took the test on their website yesterday and I found that if I lowered my head and looked up at the monitor the numbers became clearer. I have always found that projections and screens have been where I have the most trouble. I believe the best way to get an accurate result on that test is to...

Any color blind folks on the board?

I am also very color blind like I get everything wrong on the test. In low light I can pretty much mix up anything. In bright light it depends on how vibrant the color is but duller colors are still difficult in full light. I too have heard of the glasses but never tried them. I've been meaning...

    I TOLD YOU SO

I would agree with this. I recently saw a story where he supposedly said confiscate them and worry about the due process later. To me that screams chess move. Just the kind of thing that will have the other side frothing at the mouth. But last I checked the due process clause is still in the...

What do I not know about Savages?

I recently picked up a 12fv to mess around with. While waiting I noticed a used tikka on the rack. Ran the bolt and it moved like butter. The savage not so much. However, I have no intention of using this in competition, so for about 1/3 the price I can deal with a rougher cycle. If I was...

    308 Bullet and Powder Selection

That was basically my thinking that I should run some rounds through it first. How important is using brass fired from my chamber? I have 250 pieces of once fired federal brass I planned on using but it wasn't used in this rifle. I guess I could load it all up with a generic load and shoot...

    308 Bullet and Powder Selection

Thanks everyone, I jumped on a deal in the PX for 500 175s, and just picked up some CCI large rifle primers today. Once the dies show up I'll start load development. Any opinions on doing load workup on a virgin bore? Should I run a box of factory ammo through it? I don't plan on any elaborate...
