    Humbled @ 1930 yard

Been there, Bro. For me a 5 o'clock wind gives me fits. Regular hits at 1000-1300 turn in to 20% hits at 2000. I have a hard time believing all the posts I read about folks getting regular predictable hits past a mile, but hey, it could be me.

Tested out the Goat and flatline 256

I too would like to see some load information. Also, how long is that barrel? I am considering giving these bullets a try in a factory AX barrel that is 27". I'm at sea level , so I doubt I can do 15.7 mils to 2000 yards, but this combo sound like it would blow the doors off my 300 Norma...

Quick Cooling a Barrel and Suppressor

I live and shoot in Deep South Texas where it gets damn hot. I was wondering if anyone knows if it would hurt the rifle and/or suppressor to drape a wet towel over them in an effort to cool them off. I was thinking about keeping one in an ice chest and then deploying it every 4 or 5 shots so I...

Why is Fed. 50cal a third of the price for the 338 Lapua?

This matches my cost as well. I shoot the 300 OTMs, so it's a little higher, but I got several jugs of Retumbo and H1000 a while back locally for a little less than $160. I shoot 20-40 rounds a trip usually. $50 seems reasonable for an afternoon of great fun!

    Am I wasting my time?

I had picking up range .223 & 5.56 brass for years and finally decided to start processing a few month ago. I had it all stainless media tumbled and annealed, spent hours swaging primer pockets on about 25% of the 2100 pieces and then primed it all with a Lee handheld while sitting in front of...

Rifle Scopes Savage 338 Lapua and Viper PST 6-24

I have shot this exact setup to 1800 yards with 300 scenars and retumbo. I am at sea level. I think I had to hold over a bit as I ran out of elevation.

Rifle Scopes Question regarding adjustment range of Steiner Military 5-25x56

I have this scope on my .338 as well. I believe I have a 20 MOA Rail and Seekins low rings. With a 100 yard Zero I have 19.8 mils of upward travel. I am going to check this data at lunch, but I'm pretty sure that is right. -J I checked and I have 20.2 mils of up. Confirmed that it is an...

    .338 Lapua help

Does your FCP have a 26" barrel? If so, I would be very pleased with getting 2785 with the 300 Berger and only 90.5 of Retumbo. I run 92 grains of Retumbo under the 300 OTM and am getting a verified 2740 fps out of a 110BA.

    Loads for 6.5 SAUM 4S

My GAP 6.5 SAUM should be here in a couple months, and I finally scored some H1000 yesterday. I still can't find any 130 Hunting VLDs, but my local shop had some 140 Hunting VLDs, so I picked up 100. My brass is Remington 300 from Copper Creek and I have CCI Magnum primers. 2 Questions: 1.)...
