    Re: About to rebarrel my 700 Well after talking to Russ last night, it looks like im gonna go with a rock creek m24/m40 contour. 308 with 1 in 11.25" twist. russ is very personable and easy to talk to, on the phone at least, and was able to answer all my questions. now its just a waiting game...

    Crappy Remington Barrel

    I recently bought a Remington 700P with a few add ons for a reasonable price. Jewell trigger, badger metal. the weak link is the barrel. It shoots sub-moa when i do the right thing, but only for about the first 6 rounds. then it gets so hot that you cant touch it and my groups start opening up...
