    Bullet Recommendations-> Rem 700 5r 6.5 — ELD-X 143g not working

    I run Lapua 139 and 136 grain bullets at 0.02” from lands. My load workup is always at 0.020” jump. They are jump insensitive so I do not worry after load workup for bullet seating depth. I also do not have to chase the lands as throat wears...just check for erosion every 250 rounds.

    .308 Factory Rifle Perfection

    I run with an AXMC 300 WinMag, 308 Win and 6.5 CM. My other rifles have become closer queens. I have no regrets with the AXMC.

    Range Report 10 Shot Load Development Results - 6.5 Creedmoor

    Concur with TNC. The vertical axis should be in MV to clearly see the trend. Alternatively, calculate the delta MV between each load.

    In the lands or jump?

    I follow the approach similar to padom .... load development at 0.020" from the lands. Then if necessary, bullet seating depth to tighten groups. I prefer bullets that are insensitive to jump .... Lapua 136, Lapua 139, Berger hybrids, and so forth. Bullet selection impacts your path .... some...

    Chronograph Suggestions

    If you go with the Labrador, mount it on a solid tripod (so it will not rip over and break). If you go with a MagnetoSpeed and handload, or plant to migrate to handload, I prefer the V3. I have tried both and prefer the simplicity of the V3 (my POI shift at 100 yards is a max of 0.10 Milrads)...

    Neck vs FL sizing with bushing dies

    Full length and neck sizing dies both work great. Neck tension for turned brass will require a bushing die or a custom die for the turned necks. Concentricity of the turned, trimmed, chamfered and ‘bumped’ brass should be less than for 0.0015 for competition rounds. Some shooters use a full...

    Hunting & Fishing Point-blank range caliber for deer?

    I prefer the 308 Win, 20” barrel w suppressor. Long barrel life. Very little recoil and lots of factory hunting loads.
