    I'm very skeptical. I did the hot rod 6.5 some time ago. (264WM) 600 rnds it was done. That said, I am quite intrigued with this 6.5 SAUM and seeing for myself if it lives up to claims posted here. Anyone care to give me neck and FB dimensions, I'll get a reamer ordered today....

    In the last few years Hodgdon lowered their H4350/162 AMAX max load from 48.0 to whatever it is today. I run 48 grns in my rifle. No issues in thousands of rounds.

    Either is GTG, and a big step up from the 308 in terms of ballistics. That said I reeeeally like the 6x47L. I run 115s @ 3050 in my 27" comp rifle. Insanely accurate, great ballistics, low recoil. Not to mention the Lapua brass is incredible! Downsides to the 6mm version are- Shorter bbl life...

    Range Report Anyone shooting the 75 Amax TO 1000?

    Lots of 'em! All were via 223AI with a MV of 3050fps. They get there just fine. Wind will play hell with them. And hits on heavy steel can be difficult to see/spot.

    Built another one... 6x47L Lapua brass 115 DTAC .010" off lands 39grns of H4350 2989 fps avg. In 25" bbl.

    7mm08 is an awesome chambering. Accurate, easy to load for and great bbl life. I'm getting roughly 2750 with 162s in a 22" bbl. Recoil is certainly there. I put a brake on mine - made it a pud to shoot.
