    USSC 2A case...

OP's link leads to a Washington Post paywall. Here's a different link. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20210426/supreme-court-grants-cert-in-second-amendment-concealed-carry-case Both keeping and bearing arms are a right. Statutes that reduce it to a privilege which must be asked for are no...

Rifle Scopes Zeroing 20MOA base and 20MOA ring mount?

You will need 80 MOA of total vertical elevation travel if (big if) both rings and base are exactly 20 MOA and the base is perfectly aligned with the bore. 90 would would be enough for a margin of error. Mount rail and rings. Adjust turrets to the midpoint for both elevation and windage, then...

    Hello from Eastern North Carolina

Welcome neighbor from upstate SC. The North Carolina contingency is pretty well represented here. I'm sure they'll be along shortly with a proper welcome of their own.

@nvrpc1, you are looking at Service Rifle data. It is for M14/M1A that are limited due to the operating rod system. Try the non Service Rifle data a few pages before. Hodgdon also has data for IMR-4064. https://www.hodgdonreloading.com/reloading-data-center?rdc=true&type=54

Why would the Founders Regulate a TOOL ?

It was in either Heller or McDonald that SCOTUS answered this. Strict scrutiny as keeping and bearing arms is a fundamental right. Miller was a no show for the arguments before SCOTUS. His conviction had already been overturned, he was free and clear. Nor did any attorney present any arguments...

Why would the Founders Regulate a TOOL ?

Those who ratified the Bill of Rights had just defeated what then was the world's lone superpower in a bitter war that was sparked by a gun control raid that went all squirrely. The primary objective of that raid was to seize the cannon held in Concord. The militia had artillery equal in quality...

Ammo supply improving in my area (SC)

And to think that I just drove past there this afternoon and did not stop. I've also heard about previously unobtainable powders and primers showing up on shelves. I am grateful that I didn't get caught short and have to pay any stupid prices for this stuff.

    Looking to Move South

Big Ivy Guns Range in Burnsville NC goes out to 1,000 yards. They are new but I've heard good things. There are a few in central and eastern NC. Clinton House is the range I referred to above. They actually have a one mile range in addition to their 1,000 yard range but the one mile range...

    Looking to Move South

I'm in upstate SC, transplanted from NH. I miss having four seasons but I don't miss wrestling with a snowblower for two hours every time we got 6 or 18 inches of snow. I don't miss waking up the morning after an election and finding out I'm outnumbered by moonbats. Property taxes and gasoline...

    Mixed powder

With all the nitrogen in gunpowder, it would be a waste to throw it in the trash, not to mention the hazard to the incinerator operator when it hits flame. Even if you only have one tiny patch of crabgrass, fertilizer. But there has to be a story behind how the two powders got mixed. OP @Jhatto...

How does someone so stupid get so much money?

Whatever happened to doing a walk through right before heading to the closing? Don't most real estate contracts include clauses requiring the property to be vacant and immediate transfer of possession?

I have several sets of camouflage coveralls with different colors, patterns and shades. I choose which one to wear by where I'm hunting, foliage, season and whether I'll be in sunlight or shade, even whether I want insulation or not. I have gloves, boonie hat and mesh facenets to match. The only...

    Lock up your daughters!

I know a family where the father's birds-and-bees advice to his five sons was, "If you jerk off upwind of a girl, she's gonna have your baby." His advice to his six daughters? "Don't get downwind of a guy."

    Cat - Broke Leg

There is a stray in my neighborhood. He came by 4 or 5 weeks ago with a broken leg. He didn't set it down for a couple weeks, then a couple weeks where he would set it down but put no weight on it. He seems to be about 90% now. He favors it but I think it's healing well.

    Metering N570 with A&D FX120

I've heard about it but no, I haven't tried it. By adjusting throw speed and trickle start time the overthrows are manageable. Especially when I target one tenth low and trickle up on the balance.

    Metering N570 with A&D FX120

I just worked up my first batch in my Hornady LNL Auto Charge with N570. Yup, Lincoln Logs. Funny but appropriate. I think one tenth grain per granule is pretty close. The downside is I had to adjust trickle start to three grains short of target instead of the usual two. Since I target one...
