No Ka Oi once replaced the Fwd ASW strainer on my boat 3 times. The first two times the welds failed radiography, the last time they brought in a kahuna to shake ti leaves over it. It passed that time.

I know an F-18 pilot who tells a story of a courtesy ride for an O-6. As a part of the "what do you want to do?" part of the ride the pilot inverted and the backseat wasn't strapped in tight and accidentally grabbed the "get out" handle. Fortunately the system was set up for individual...

I don’t know if they still do it but back in the day Jackson Hole used to have a “Ski the Big One” promo where you tracked your runs and they gave you pins for 100k vertical. I knocked out 100k in about 4 days once, but I never, ever went that way off of the tram. I had enough trouble with the...

After I looked at it a second time that's what I was thinking. Hedges and stone walls vs concrete and wire fences.

I’m betting Isle of Mann TT (edit: I don't recognize that corner from the TT but it does look like the kind of flat out running that those guys do)

As far as I know the B58 never had a conventional weapons package designed for it. It had two purposes. Go fast, make the world burn. As a kid I loved the model.

I’ve seen them reverse threaded on one side of an old tractor, but it was a really long time ago. I just remember it kicked my ass one afternoon…

In the early/mid 70s my dad worked for Berkeley Pump Co. as a PR tech rep to the boat manufacturers in the SE. (basically he went to the factories and showed them how to put in jet pumps) I wish I could remember the stuff he told me about the testing they did at Hallman and Moody on engines. I...

Pretty much everyone in cycling going back as at least as far as Induain (5x winner of TdF '91-'95 for those who don't follow the sport) has been proven to have used PEDs of one kind or another. For the most part it was just race preps and everyone did it. The only winner that I've never seen...
