    It is not a have to have to run properly. The parts are needed if you want to run faster without over throws. The V4 on its own, set up properly will do accurate drops in 12 to 15 seconds. The V4 was not designed to run fast. But everyone who complains about it is trying to push 6 second...

    Hopper with shims. They store in the hopper.

    Yes, they did not put it out. The tips were the big thing to get it running right. Most issues with V4 are user. But if set up right with new tips overthrows go away and average speed is 10 second drops.

    No. MK makes a full kit for the V4 with hopper, shims, and tips.

    No, spacers are shims and new tips are threaded overcerts for small tube. I worked with MK machining on the design. We just did beta testing with some V4 owners.

    @406shootist I had that issue with a 6.5 prc, bedded it and problem solved. Now I just bed all my rifles.

    Yes they have a V4 version but I have not seen anyone running it. I am running a V4 without issue - 10 seconds with minimal overthrows.

    It is all we use anymore. 15x and 18x. We went with Vortex Razor HD 18x56 binos, no issues spotting impacts well past 1k.

    If you try to run it faster and with some stick powders, yes it will overthrow. Most issues are in the set up. The new parts help with overthrows while allowing faster drops. The average we are seeing is 10 seconds without overthrows with most powders we have tested.

    There are some upgrades for the V4 coming out soon. MK Machining should be releasing the V4 upgrades in the next few weeks. Makes the V4 faster with less overthrows.

    I have yet to actually kill a GT barrel. Pulled wife's at 2800 and it was still shooting, but getting long in the tooth. Probably would have died between 3200 and 3500, my best guess. She was running Berger 109s at 2930 with 33.7 of RL15.5. It seems they all have started to drop velocity...

    I went to DTACs on my last barrel too. I set them at .045 which is just in front of neck shoulder junction with a .120 Freebore. 37 of N160 @ 2845. Just put a new barrel on my GT. Hope to shoot it this weekend.
