308 palma reamer with 168gr bullets

When the 168 smk is properly seated the oal will be less than 2.83. Also the smk does not need to touch the lands and will probably have the most consistent results with some jump. M852 all the way

308 palma reamer with 168gr bullets

Palma is not enough info. There are many different palma prints. Clymer m852 is the bomb for 168 smks. You can get one from brownells for 145.00 and they are in stock. However the 168smk tends to fall apart around the 800 yard mark.

Gunsmithing Mag Lips getting caught in bolt flutes

You could always use a tig or mig to add some material on top of the reinforcement plate on the front of the mag and file to fit. I had the same problem running the bolt while being suspended upside down. I had to fill in the flutes because of this and the fact that they would catch wind and...

SWFA 5-20, harris bipod, ar gold trigger, magpul stock, forend skid plate, TAB sling, Krieger barrel. I have had good experiences with these products. I have the moe grip also and put the largest insert on the backstrap for better finger placement on the trigger. Shoot it before changing...

    Range Report Fastest barrel

Hi Frank. The barrels in question are similar specs and use the same ammo and reamer. This has just been my experience but I do not feel like there is enough practical difference in velocity to matter to me. They all use about the same dope. There is however enough difference in concentricity...

    Bipod recommendation

I sold my atlas and will continue using harris. I tried hard to like the Atlas but could not get used to it. I am much more proficient with the Harris. Guess you don't know until you try it.

    Broken extractor help

Is your bolt sticky, or are you shooting hot reloads? Just asking because there might be something going on that caused it to break. Brownells should have them in stock. Buy several and replace them at regular intervals as routine maintenance. They can be replaced in the field in just a few...

    Wind meters

I just spin in a circle while I'm taking a piss outside. When I golden shower myself in the face I know I am pointing into the wind. Also helps mark your spot on the firing line.
