GAP Rifles accuracy - factory or hand loads

Yes, wrapped around the axle. Many try to compare their "X" guaranteed rifle against the "Y" guaranteed rifle and it's all a joke. If anyone could shoot the difference at distance there would be a new WR but they can't because of this little thing called "wind".

    How heavy is too heavy???

If you have a field gun or one you're using in a tactical situation with anything less than 2lbs., you're taking a chance. I would also stay away from Jewel triggers if you plan to get your rifle dirty.

GAP Rifles accuracy - factory or hand loads

That wasn't pointed at you. Just a general reminder for those that get wrapped around the axle about "guarantees" and "accuracy".

Johnny football does not go first

Against all odds? He's a spoiled douchebag and his daddy bought his way into A&M. Everything about him is dirty IMO. Did you see what he did when he went up on stage at the draft? Prime example. His off field antics aren't past him, they're just getting started fueled by the new money he's...

Curious question about measuring length from ojive

Curious question about measuring length from ojive

So if the oGive is different (see how I'm spelling it correctly there?) how could the measurement be the same? Bullet lengths vary as does the position of the ogive. If all ogives were standard then there would be only one for each bullet caliber, i.e. all 308 BTHP would all have the same ogive...

Curious question about measuring length from ojive

Different bullets will have different oGives, so you have to measure each brand and model of bullet accordingly.

GAP Rifles accuracy - factory or hand loads

GAP rifles shoot very well, very consistently (and there are many others that do as well). In the interest of marketing, some builders, rather than being happy building a great rifle, trying get "an edge" and to do this they'll market their rifles as a "X guarantee" that's only available under...

Advanced Marksmanship Catching ejected brass questions.

If loosing brass is truly a concern (not pointed at anyone, just FYI) just lay a small towel or something over the ejection port and it knocks the brass right down without having to chase it or catch it.

New Member - Discussion of my $1,000/1000 yard Rifle

First, let me say congratulations and welcome to your new crack addiction. Next, let me congratulate you as well for your economic set up that should serve you well. However, with that being said, you should still recognize the limitations of your rig and as long as you're comfortable with...

Advanced Marksmanship Catching ejected brass questions.

There are a number of reasons this happens that range from actually need in a active military situation to the "cool" factor. With custom rifles today they really don't fling the brass like they used to and many dump the brass right out in front of the rifle. Personally I don't think you need a...

Johnny football does not go first

No, the fact is I know the big picture as I am very familiar with it. Did you read all the posts in this thread? Let's talk about the "big picture". If you look at the current NFL QB who have won a super bowl, how many are "scrambling" QBs? Peyton Manning, who many argue is the best NFL QB to...

Exactly, why in the hell are you arguing about it?? First, let me explain you do not know this site, or what the members of this site has on their rifle so the first thing you need to do is learn your place. Next, It's not arguable that SS makes a more fabulous barrel. Everyone who competes...

Well I disagree. Take rushing yards for a QB. Yes, that number is concrete but how do you judge a QB by rushing yards? I do not have to respect the guy for what he did on the field, I'm not like the rest of the Kool Aid drinkers (That is not at you) and fall for the hype.
