You're right, you're not going to argue with me any more. You don't know what you're talking about. You can get a used HD for around $1500 easily as I just sold one for that. The OP needs to know that if he's going to talk NF and Mark 4 then Razor HD should be included in that conversation.
First, a Razor is not "close". It's easily equal or better. Next, $1500 which the OP mentioned is WAY more than what a PST cost. A NF can be had in good used condition for $1500 as can a Razor HD. He may not be aware of the optic as his question framed the way it was indicates he most likely...
Did I say PST? NO, so get back in your lane. The OP, although he said PST, also mentioned the NF and the Mark 4, both of which are way above a PST. The Vortex Razor HD however is superior to the Mark 4 and on par at the very least to NF.
So what you're saying is your going to base your opinion solely on the fact that you have an LB rifle that shoots well. Congratulations, you have a well shooting rifle but again it does nothing to reinforce anything other than a bias opinion. I can guarantee you 100% that there are both GAP-10...
You're excused. Opinions shared in the guise of blanket statements without at least some semblance of reasoning does nothing but show a blind bias and destroys credibility.
Now you've answered the OPs question, answer mine. What makes LB's "the best"?
Scott, I'm not arguing with you but it's all about context. Of course you can over lube a rifle; you can dip it in a barrel of Mobil 1 and it wont run. My point, which was adding to yours, is where the AR needs lube, you cannot have too much lube.
That is the point! He must have elected to utilize for a reason, maybe the same reason Tubbs has stuck with over the years.
Tubb invented the 6xc so I hope he would stick with it. Do we know if German is sponsored? You act as if this is a good vs. bad comparison and it's not. It's a comparison...
The fact that you claim you're "hamstrung" by Hornady brass discredits your opinion because (again) those that actually go out and SHOOT the round rather than talk about it know that there are many getting 10+ firings on their cases. This brass is not your typical hunting Hornady brass, the...
And on the subject, why didn't everyone go to the 6xc? You didn't see everyone all over it because David Tubb invented it. It came out way before the 6cm while everyone was using the 243. You know why? Brass was difficult to get, dies were difficult to get and the brass when you could get it was...
Is good that you finally realized that.
Now explain to all of us how all the top tac shooters in the country are just a bunch of sheep even though they can choose any cartridge they want yet they are using the 6cm even though it's inferior but only because "GAP" came up with it?
Sorry but that's just not the case. There are ample shooters out there with no affiliation with GAP and some, for example Team Surgeon, whose best interest is not using their competitors product. But the truth is the 6cm works better for a litany of reasons plain and simple.
There is no definitive answer as there are a number of variables. What brass are you using? There's a big difference between Lapua 243 brass and Winchester 243 brass yet they're both 243. How hard are you pushing it? Are you neck sizing or FL sizing? Do you run comps where you lose brass 25-50...
