    i want to order an 18.5" 6.5CM AX. I like the pale brown. Is the elite sand available and is there much difference? I'm not going to say anything about the GF saying 2" would make a big difference. :)

    I would skip the larue mount especially with the issues of split ring scope mounts. I would recommend spuhr and RRS (really right stuff).

    The MK6 is a good scope but it's price point is just too high for the reasons already stated. I would choose the NF ATACR F1 4-16x42 all day long over the mk6. The NF just has so many more options for just a little more $.

    I currently have the Vortex strike eagle 1-8 and have been putting it through its paces. I am really impressed with it. I prefer the reticle in the 1-8 over the 1-6. The illuminated reticle is useable in day or night and it is overall working perfectly on my AR.

    Accuracy International scope mount

    Lowlight has been putting the RRS mounts through its paces and has run them pretty hard with no issue. There is NO question the attention to detail RRS makes is first class so I think They will be a very big contender in the scope mount department.

    SPUHR and RRS (really right stuff) make the most solid one piece mounts out there IMO and that is what I would recommend.

    You pointed out the size and weight difference. The glass on both is excellent. You just have to decide which reticle options you like better in the Vortex and NF.

    Rifle Scopes New Mil-C NF on the way!!

    I am pretty set on getting ATACR 4-16X42 but I am having a tough time deciding between the mil-c and mil-r reticle, if they do put the mil-c in the 4-16. I like the center dot but the rest of the scope seems a bit cluttered and busy. I would love to see one in person.

    Rifle Scopes SPUHR vs. RRS mounts

    This is a nice touch by RRS. Their mount looks very "clean". I am sure it is just as robust as the SPUHR just different. May have to give it a look. I looked on their site and I though they made a 1.25 height mount but all I see is the 1.50.
