Demo how to cut foam in rifle case from Optics Planet

Most decent sized cities have places that sell foam. I found one in Portland, Oregon that had all sorts of various kinds of foam, and it was cheap enough that I bought a whole bunch of dark grey foam to make a number of various cut out inserts for a Pelican hard case.

Welcome! I have spent lots of time shooting and playing from Burns to French Glenn, Fields, The Alvord desert (even the hot springs in the Alvord), fishing at Mann lake, chasing rabbits around Catlow valley and near French Pete's round barn, etc, etc. I had a very good friend who lived in...

    Term limits.

While I favor term limits, I understand why politicians aren't willing to cut their own throats by imposing term limits. Politicians won't do anything that may reduce their power, their money, their security, even if that is what the majority of the public wants. Politicians will have to be...

    Proud Boy

Law enforcement agencies have been putting pressure on people to be informants for a very long time. So learning that someone has been cooperating to keep their ass out of prison is no big surprise. If anything, I am surprised that people would be naive enough to think someone WOULDN'T...

BREAKING: FBI fears 'insider' attack at inauguration. Vetting all 25,000 NG soldiers in DC...

Funny how the FBI thinks they can vet 25,000 national guard troops to be guarding the president within 3 days, but they can't coordinate with BATFE to get the backlog of applications for Class 3 firearms done in under 3 months. It just goes to show that either: 1. The government CAN vet...

    Nashville Explosion, intentional

Normally, the simple explanation is the one that often works out. What we DO KNOW is: 1. There was a large explosion. 2. An RV was used to transport the explosive device. 3. Warning was given prior to the explosion. 4. Very few injuries/fatalities (if any fatalities). 5. There were...

    Glock switch.

If I owned a legal one, it would be fun to try out. I suspect that most of it's use would be either letting other people shoot it, or just bringing it out once in a while. It would burn ammo far too quickly to be used very often. A 50 round box of ammo is only about 1.5 magazines (using the 32...

    Glock switch.

I can't even find enough ammo or components to reload ammo to practice with the firearms I have. Getting a selector for a Glock would burn through my 9mm ammo WAAAAYY faster than I could afford. However I am kinda curious what they were charging for the switches....I guess they were charging...

Accessories Knife handle material for trade

I used to forge lots of knives, but the big shop is gone. I recently found a box of handle materials that contains scales and blocks of exotic hardwoods, kudu and impala horn, Giraffe bone scales, and three large caramel colored chunks of Steller's sea cow rib bone. I am interested in...

    Protecting the REAL drug dealers . . . .

From a post by Diverdon: Q: " When is temporary pain relief worth the risk of life long drug addiction?" A: I think that is a question that only the pain sufferer can answer. Different people perceive, and handle pain differently. One person may say they would rather die or become addicted...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Staccato accuracy

OP, those are some very nice and CONSISTENT groups! I too would be really happy with that. In any defensive pistol, I value consistency and reliability far more than great accuracy in a pistol that is occasionally unreliable. If given a choice between a pistol that was 98% reliable and shot...

Thoughts on Approval of new Federal Execution Methods

I put this in a different thread: Some of the issues with lethal injection is because some prisons have difficulty acquiring the drugs to accomplish the job. As deadly as fentanyl is, and because it is a synthetic opioid, they really shouldn't have the complaint that it can be too painful for...

So... 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.... ???

It only takes one or two zealots in any department to want to seize your stuff, or to make your life miserable. Even if 95% of the people in a department refuse to lift a finger to "punish" any former law abiding gun owners, people would still have to worry about the few zealots in the...

So apparently the German server thing is real. LOL someone explain how that went down

Salty, I'm not at all that complacent about what is currently going on, or what has been going on by the democrats for the past 3.75 years. I think they have been deceitful, and disruptive in the extreme, all to the detriment of both the operation of government, and the lives of the American...
