    Since I didn't have the scope in hand to actually run the turrets, I had to go off what the manufacture/Vortex lists in their specs for the AMG. This said, the travel from one scope to another can vary as well...it's best to test the actual scope for travel to know exactly what is available to you.

    I've got both, both shoot very well and load workup was easy. I'm running Berger140 Hybrids over H4350 (2800 fps) in the 6.5x47L and in the 6x47L version, I'm running Berger 105 Hybrids over Varget (3060 fps).

    Whatever you use for the barrel will work for the muzzle brake as well. I remove my brakes every time I clean my rifle to rid the crown of carbon so easy removal is a plus. For all my rifles, except the BIG boomers, hand tight has been sufficient to avoid loosing.

    Accuracy with/without brake.

    If you have identified the proper charge weight through your load workup, accuracy will be unaffected but you will probably have a POI shift when shooting with/without the brake.

    It’s my understanding that the throat, and first few inches of a barrel, takes the majority of the wear from heat/pressure while the muzzle wears from the friction of the bullet passing over it at maximum pressure. A gunsmith may have a more definitive answer but this is what I’ve been told.
