    .22 creedmoor

I built a 22x47 lapua two years ago and was running a 80 grain vld comfortably at 3400 with 38.2 grains of H 4350. I would imagine if you stepped on the cm it would get you to the 3300 mark with the 90 grain vld.

What to do with spare 700 short action with .308 bolt face

If your considering a 22-250 you may want to look at a 22x47 lapua as well. I built one last year for coyotes with a 1-8 twist barrel. I was able to shoot the 80 grain vld comfortably in the 3400 fps range, accuracy was excellent. Forming was simply running the 6.5x47 to 6, then to 22. I have...

My new 1/2 mile coyote whacker

Nice rig, I ran a 22x47 lapua last year for coyotes with an 80 grain vld. The .224 75-80 grain bullets are quite impressive when you get them past the 3100 fps mark.

    Fastest flattest screaming SOB

Ran a 22-243 middlested two years ago with a 55 grain b.t. @4080 fps it will do more if you like, extremely accurate. I ran a 22x47 lapua last year with 80 grain vld's at 3400+ fps, If your looking for speed and a better point blank zero do the middlested. If your running into shots past the 400...

    Help... New long action build.

You may want to look at the 284 win and a berger 180 vld or 180 hybrid, I am running the 180 vld at 2800 and it works well out to the distance your looking at.

    AI AW or AI AX?

+1 I have the 2.0 AIAW in .260 with every option available in regards to the stock, that does make the price go up rapidly.

    AI AW or AI AX?

I have an AIAW in .260, i went with the AI pistol grip skins. This gave me the grip of the AX but the lower scope height of the AW. I have since swithched out my manners and mcmillans to AICS stocks, keeping the ergos similar for all rifles. I think you will be pleased with either.

    timers on precision rifles?

^^^ yeah that was kind of my thought to begin with, maintaining position and managing your time or at least keeping track of it at a glance would be beneficial, that would also keep the RO focused on the targets and not the timer. Influenced by speculation? Nah.
