Was "House Hunting" ever an enjoyable experience?

What we used was recycled cotton insulation batts like this: https://www.buildwithrise.com/stories/cotton-batt-insulation-is-it-for-you It looked like it was mostly shredded denim. Not sure about availability or cost differences, but compared to fiberglass, it was a dream to work with.

Was "House Hunting" ever an enjoyable experience?

You might want to look into acoustic options for interior insulation rather than standard fiberglass. When we did my buddies house, we used some sort of recycled cotton stuff. It doesn't insulate from heat and cold as well, but that's a non-issue on interior walls. Not sure what the price...

Was "House Hunting" ever an enjoyable experience?

Well, contrary to 'captain stick up his ass', I very much recommend insulating interior walls. It cuts down on noise a lot. I insulated between my two levels as well. If you have, or will have kids, you will appreciate it. And it's not hard to do. A buddy was building a new house and I...

What is your method for necking down? Do you do it in 2 steps? Use bushings, or regular dies?

22ARC 62GR ELD-VT IS NO ONE RELOADING FOR THIS

I think there's some confusion here. 62 ELD-VT can most certainly be used in an AR15, when chambered in 22 ARC. However, they're not going to work so well in 223 / 556 chambered ARs due to their length.

Best Sling Stud Bipod Money Can Buy?

Why limit yourself to sling stud style? If you want to keep a stud for whatever reason, you could put on a rail like this that also has a stud. https://www.salmonriversolutions.com/product/srs-arca-pic/ Not sure what kind of stock you have, but typically all you need is a hand drill to make a...

    Savage Impulse 1 year update

You may just want to contact Savage, but I'm pretty sure the Hog Hunter uses some proprietary mag, whereas the Predator uses AICS pattern mags, with the caveat that full-polymer mags don't work with it, which is not much of a problem. MDT makes excellent steel mags that work well.

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

I did say I was dreaming, but I don't know that it's "idiosyncratic" or "whimsical" to want the bolt to lock. I know that Savage and Tikka (among others I'm sure) both do this. The placement of the bolt handle on the SRS makes it more prone to getting knocked during carry or repositioning...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

How about adding some love for lefties again? And as long as I'm dreaming, it would be great if the bolt handle locked when the safety is on so you don't have to be paranoid about whether or not the bolt handle is all the way down every time you go to shoot.

    Suppressors First round flyers

My theory is it is related to the "atmosphere" inside the can. Do this test: shoot one shot. Leave the bolt open and use a fan to blow air through the chamber and out the muzzle for 1 min. Shoot another shot and repeat through 5 shots. If you're getting a consistent position on the gun...

Member Link Up North Dakota Shooters?

You're not going to find a prairie dog within a few hundred miles of Fargo. Also, not sure of the legality around shooting down some random dirt road, but the local land owners may not be too impressed. Your best bet is to find some public land to shoot on. Not much of that near Fargo either.

I don't have a Magpul to compare to. There's a tiny amount of forward and back play in the legs when deployed. There's also a tiny bit of additional forward and back play added between the main leg and the extension as you extend them. I can't really perceive much side-to-side play at all. To...

    Hornadys new ELD VT

Where are people getting the 62s? I have notifications set up on a few sites (Midway, Brownells, Grafs, etc), but have only got one email from Midway where I was apparently too slow. Also, has anyone seen any of the VTs for other calibers in the wild? Seems like they're focusing on loaded...

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

Really odd weekend. In the daylight we had several pairs and singles flying in to howls and mating stuff. In the dark, we saw yotes within calling range on every set and none of them gave a shit. Here's one of two triples.

    Oryx Bipod has launched!

I just picked one of these up. I like it so far. It has a slightly cradled interface that has rubber like grippy stuff on it that should work well on either rounded or flat forends, as long as they aren't super narrow. It has a knob to tighten it down, so you can snug it up as much as you...
