Need to taste the kool-aid. Question about 6.5 SAUM

a friend of mine had the exact same issue. he's been waiting a ridiculous amount of time now and has to harass them to get an update only to hear it's going to be another 3-6 months each time or he's going on vacation yet again. thanks for the feedback. i appreciate it!

Need to taste the kool-aid. Question about 6.5 SAUM

wow. thanks for the extremely helpful comment... smh. i've seen a factory savage action shoot 1/4" groups at 100. i've seen them make consistent hits at a mile. a custom action is nice but 100% not necessary. i posted what i did because there are those of us who don't buy into the elitist...

Need to taste the kool-aid. Question about 6.5 SAUM

I've wanted a saum for some time and with the warner flatlines it's solidified that desire. So, the situation is i'm tight for money. I have a 308 savage that i would not mind rebarreling but i was hoping to get into a different action for this as i have a few savages. Can't afford a custom...

    tikka vs savage vs howa

so what's the deal with tikka's funky long action mag oal?

300 win mag vs 300 wsm

I could use the eld's for most of the shooting including 1800+ and still do pretty good with the saum. The idea that a 122 flatline going 3400+ means some serious performance. I am very skeptical of the barrel life claims but George Gardner says it'll do upwards of 2000 rounds and the forums...

300 win mag vs 300 wsm

The stuff 1800+ will be as you say there, just the fun afterthought. the idea was to have a gun that i could shoot regularly with somewhat inexpensive bullets but still get good long range stuff done from time to time for that "itch". HOWEVER, i imagine i'm in need of hearing some wisdom with...

300 win mag vs 300 wsm

i appreciate it everyone. I'm thinking of using a blueprinted howa long action with a 28" 1:10. if this stands out as a bad idea, please stop me now or i'm gonna end up learning the more difficult way...

most cost effective way to get a 300 wsm rifle

so. i've narrowed my cartridge selection to the wsm. What is the most cost effective way of achieving a mag fed rifle to shoot 200+ grains ~3.1" coal? i know i could get a cheap, used savage to rebarrel and throw in a chassis. i've been considering a tikka but the mag issue is a problem. i won't...

300 win mag vs 300 wsm

so i'm taking this off topic ish. but do any of you have experience with the 7mm-300wm?

    stupid question.. cartridge selection

i was considering the 30 nosler as i liked the concept. however, it seems as though the cartridge is quickly dead. as in nosler and shooters in the like have lost interest and the focus now is the 28 nosler and their 22 nosler. With all that said, how does the 300 wsm stack into all of these...
