    Mentioned in the OP that I have a TA02 ACOG with an RMR on top. What would the PVS-27 gain me over the PVS-24? Seems heavier/bigger for not a whole lot of performance gain at 4x magnification. My main issue with thermal is not being able to identify people.

    I just want a helmet mounted thermal that can pull clip on duty from time to time. I’d be fine “calibrating” the thermal screen to match my scope reticle, as I wouldn’t be switching it from rifle to rifle for the zero. It would have to cost less than $10,000 too for me to not just buy a SkeetIR-X.
