    450 bushmaster

That was my original thinking..but was unsure if the A5 system would tame recoil like a fixed A2. I actually emailed Vltor back and forth and they were unsure how well it would work. Although i don't see why it wouldn't. Thank you for your input.

    450 bushmaster

I'm putting together a 16" 450bm and can't decide on a stock, RE, buffer combo. It will be primarily a hunting rifle for stalking. I originally wanted to run an STR on a carbine length RE with heavy buffer. Then I changed my mind to Vltor A5 system with STR. Now I thinking just go fixed...

Rifle Scopes Looking for another scope information needed!

The msr-k reticle in the gen 2 Kahles is hands down imo the best msr reticle available in today's market. I really like the open center below 17x and the floating dot at and above 17x. I love the .04 mil line thickness as well.

Rifle Scopes Bushy XRS turret question

My XRS did the same, but it shouldn't be an issue with the 5mil turret models. Does your exhibit any Chromatic aberration?

    redding bushing die question

No sir, not unless you have a tight chamber. Your factory cut chamber will not require turned necks.

    redding bushing die question

Yep..unless you have some seriously dented necks, its not needed. Even then, an expander mandrel is a better tool to use for consistency imo.

    redding bushing die question

Measure the neck on a loaded round. Subtract .002 and .003, order those sizes. I remove the rods on my bushing dies. Some may say the expander is needed to straighten the necks, but I haven't seen this.

    338 LM load development?

Didn't mention the twist rate. Your barrel may be having a hard time stabilizing the 300g bullets.

Need help choosing which load from these groups.(load devlopment) UPDATED ! new groups

I use remmy brass..on the 3rd firing now. My gunsmith sent a dummy round with the rifle using nosler brass and a 180 hybrid. That is how i got the measurement.

Need help choosing which load from these groups.(load devlopment) UPDATED ! new groups

Definitely need to neck turn remmy brass. Nosler will be ok unturned, but still only gives .002 release. I hate that ptg calls that a no-turn match reamer.

What caused a change in group size?

If you cleaned between sessions, there may have been some residual solvent or oil in the chamber.

That will work. They just use a standard angle, probably 20°. But it is rather shallow and will be fine with your 30° shoulder. Just make sure you cut into the shoulder approx 1/32" or so to hopefully eliminate the dreaded donut. If you do get donuts after several firings, your k&m tool will...
