    TRG magazines

For the cost of less than 2 factory Sako mags, you can get a conversion from KRG that'll allow you to run AICS mags in your TRG. I'm not sure they're a vendor so I won't post a link but use your googlefu. Well worth it, IMO.

What Do I Need To Get Started

Fixed :) If you pick up that Litz book and like what you read, you can take it a step further and delve into his Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting. He does a great job of dumbing down extremely complex concepts so the average joe can understand. 95% of long range shooting is mental...

What Do I Need To Get Started

If you're getting started, a data book will be a key piece of educational gear. Also, instead of purchasing a spotting scope, you'd be better served by putting that money into your riflescope. A clear, quality optic with proper magnification can double as a spotting scope(unless you're spotting...

Whats the big deal with TacOps rifle?

I fell outta my chair laughing at this. The short answer is details. Details, details, details.

Is it good to detach your bipod every time you store the gun?

If you buy a quality mount, your optic can be removed and reinstalled with minimal poi shift. That said, it's not something I would make a habit of. Bipods, slings, lights, lasers, grips, as long as you don't split the barreled action from the stock your poi will be consistent. Just keep the...

Seriously? Care to elaborate? It's obnoxious when someone makes such a gross generalization and offers nothing to support it.

    Decent Safe for under $1000

A buddy of mine had his safe lag bolted to a slab in his garage. And not with the little baby lag bolts from Home Depot, the same ones we used to anchor 715 yards of concrete between two 20 story luxury apartment buildings to build a $900,000 entrance to an underground parking garage(he provided...

    Watches?

I wear a Pathfinder(PAG240) daily and it's tough as nails. Unfortunately, that's about the only good I have to say about it. The barometer doesn't always jive with my Kestrel. The thermometer is pretty useless; it won't read properly while you're wearing it and takes several minutes(trip...

    Complete Chassis Reference Guide!pics,prices,links

I don't have first hand experience but if Todd's resume is accurate, and I'm assuming it is, it's not likely he would compromise balance, especially in a stock designed to handle unconventional shooting positions.

Ideas for modding a stock for a little gal

Have you looked into a youth model stock for her? I'm not sure if they're any different besides LOP but I would imagine the rest gets shrunk down at least a little bit. If not, I've seen folks use just about anything that will stick/bond to whatever your stock happens to be constructed of. It...

Sako TRG 22 Muzzle Brake - is it really necessary?

Not necessary on a 22, a lotta guys actually prefer to run their 308s without a brake for some of the reasons stated above. If it was a 42, then I'd say it's a good idea. For some it can become fatiguing during extended sessions but that's up to you to determine.

Another +1 for Brux. My Brux barreled 260 is my most accurate rifle at the moment.

My first Custom, how bad did I screw up?

Without getting too far off topic, there was a thread some time back started by a fella who chopped his 300 to 20" and shot it suppressed without giving up too much velocity or performance. I'd say chop it and shoot it. On topic, nice looking rifle. Did you match the chassis the bike on purpose? ;)

    Trg 42- 300wm

The 338 carries considerable more energy into transonic flight than the winmag. The 300SMK carries 822ft/lbs as opposed to 557ft/lbs from the 210 VLD. This will change with different bullet selection and different atmospherics but the curves should remain pretty proportional between similar...

    Trg 42- 300wm

Juvenile insults you've made a dick joke in every post and I'M juvenile? I'm still waiting on your reason for recommending a 338 to OP based on his need for lower cost, lower recoil and less penetration. You can keep sidestepping with penis jokes but it only makes you look like an ass commando...

My first rifle paint - COMPLETED!

Looks nice. If you think you went a little heavy on the tan, you can always hit it again with green or brown! Some guys will duracoat everything a solid color then rattle can the pattern. If it wears off, you begin hunting a new area, you get bored or change your mind it's easy to clean up and...
