    I have had good success with 308 155gr Scenars on hogs. Great penetration/expansion. All DRT out to 250 yards out of a 308 - Southwest Ammo. Agree that A-max is a better hunting bullet across the board. Reliably expands at long range.

    I have a Proof custom build in 7 WSM. It is a lightweight hunting rifle. ABS wrap on Bartlein barrel. Actions are Defiance. I was routinely shooting clay pigeons at 500 yds with it this weekend. Shoots very well and I own rifles from many top manufacturers - GAP, APA, DTA, Blaser, SAC...

    I had a similar experience in my 6.5 CM work-up SAC barrel for DTA SRS. I had an obvious node from 42.4-43.0 gr H4350 with CCI-BR2 and 140VLD. When I stretched it out to 300yds, the groups really opened up. I shot a 500yd group as a last resort and had a 2" 5-shot group with 42.5gr...

    All good. I shoot 140 Amax - Best value, 136 Scenar - very accurate, but still prefer the Berger 140 VLD. Great hunting bullet. Most kills don't even seem fair - animal just falls to the ground like it was struck by the hand of God.

    I think I got things straightened out with Ken. He left me a message stating that GAP would be using a 1:8.7 twist for these. Question: How did you settle on the 1:8.7? What is the downside of going with, say, a 1:8? bullets would stabilize quicker, in shorter barrels, at higher altitude...

    Powerstroke , I just ordered a LH SA Stiller Tac 30 action. They said they could have me one with a mag bolt face in a few weeks. You might call them. I'm doing a switch barrel rig and they are getting me 2 bolts made. The mag bolt is taking a little longer.

    I shot these out to 1350 using the G1 BC of .600 out of a 260 Remington at 2800 fps. My SD is about 5 fps with my load. Made a remarkable number of hits. I hit an 8" circle twice in a row and 3 out of 7 tries. It was sub MOA out to that distance We had good luck with this gun and a 6.5 CM...

    Tui-man, How did you get a Blaser R93 barrel? Did you rechamber a 264 Win Mag or a 6.5x55? Or is there someone out there making Blaser barrels from scratch?
