    My carrier left Louisiana last year. My broker shopped it with 9 different companies and came back 210% higher than previous year. I dropped him and moved home and auto to State Farm. Same coverages. Saved $1000 between the two over previous years coverages

    That number is somewhat inflated. Valuing homes at market price is wrong. The land (arguably the most valuable portion of that number in California) still exists. Insurance companies do the same shit with your homeowners policy annually

    It’s my understanding that sea state is the biggest problem for them not using sea water. Can’t scoop and get the plane/chopper rocked by a ground swell. Wind isn’t forecasted to subside till mid-week. These fires are far from out.

    I buy 1/4 calf every 12-18 months. Local. Grass fed, grain finished. The steak cuts ain’t worth it cus it’s a calf but the ground meat and gravy meat are great. Cheaper than what you’re paying per # in the store and far superior.
